Marc Maartens is an independent public transport specialist, involved in journalism and consultancy. In The Netherlands Marc is well known as publicist and as chairman of public transport related discussions and events. Moreover as a board member, he was one of the driving forces behind the success of the Dutch Bike Sharing program called "Public Transport Bicycle" (in Dutch OV-fiets). Especially the clear communication and marketing of the bike sharing concept was his responsibility.
